Last week I wrote about the cabin whiteboards. This week the story is about another.
I decided to put a whiteboard near the door of the rod shed this year. I wanted to write a few words of inspiration for my guests to see before walking down the dock to go fishing.
Kind of like Notre Dame football players seeing “Play Like A Champion Today” in the stairwell between the locker room and the tunnel leading to the field.

The intent was to leave the same note on the board for the entire fishing season.
But, by mid July the whiteboard was hijacked. It started with this.

Than this happened.

Which was followed by someone writing their own phrase of the day.

Then this was added. I have a sneaky suspicion the Go Warriors reference is from a person who teaches in the town where I went to high school.

And then it changed again.

It was followed with these words of wisdom.

Then it was time to bring the whiteboard back to its original intent.

And, by the end, in appreciation…

The whiteboard went up as an experiment. Looking at the evolution of the comments, I’ll definitely keep it going for another year.
