PaPa J

After four years and four months, the Jahrig’s dream turned into reality. On  August 18, 2022, the Papa J was christened. 

Will and Becky, congratulations on your new boat.

I’m just amazed at this project. Blood, sweat, tears, and having the skill set and the tools to make it happen. That’s pretty much the Jahrig way.

I think it’s incredible that Will recorded every step of the boat build. If you search on YouTube, “Will Jahrig Boat Build”, you will find 52 videos. From sheets of metal sitting in his shop, to the test run in Homer, it’s all there.

What a fantastic reference for the future. How did I weld in the grey water tank? Oh, yeah, video 12 is where I did that. 

Now the Jahrig’s are on to their next project; building a new home and a place to store the boat when it’s not floating. They recently purchased property at the mouth of the Kenai River. Gorgeous views, easy access, I can’t wait to see the finished product.
