GoPros and smart phones are everywhere. Because of that, you never know where you might show up.
Case in point.
I was on YouTube this week and up popped a video called “Silver Salmon on the Kenai Peninsula” posted by Hogan in the Wild.
I watched it because I had a hunch I’d be in it. It was an easy conclusion to draw considering the thumbnail photos showed the dock at Beaver Creek Cabins & Guide Service, and Esko Bill, Ron, and Hogan posing with silver salmon.
The Alaska scenery and fishing action was great. The only thing I didn’t like about the video was the painful reminder of a lost fish due to equipment failure. Somehow, someway, I bought a bad batch of crane swivels. I thought maybe it was just one swivel in the pack. However, over the course of a week, multiple fish were lost the exact same way. I got rid of all the crane swivels in my tackle box, bought brand new ones, and changed out the ones on my plugs.
Problem solved….but, it’s still a source of irritation.
If you enjoyed Hogan’s Kenai Peninsula adventure, you’ll have to check out his video library on YouTube. Below is his most recent video. You got to love it when you see a dog catching a fish!
See you next week.
