Looking back at the month of August, it rained 26 out of 31 days. Not only did we fish in a river, we also sat in an atmospheric river.
Water, water, everywhere. Not a lot of fun.
But, the silver lining (did you see what I did there?) was the fishing. It was very good to excellent for silver salmon.

Plenty of action for returning guests Jen, Renee, Jerry, and Curtis.

We snuck in an extra afternoon trip so Jerry and Curtis could catch a proxy limit for Donna. Mission accomplished.

Second day in a row with Jen, Renee, Jerry, and Curtis with similar results. I had a great couple of days netting fish and getting caught up with everybody. See you all in the next year or two.
On Tuesday, returning guests Larry, John, Brian, and Chris had a productive morning. We fell one fish short of a boat limit. It wasn’t like we didn’t have the chance to do so. Just over dozen silvers that were hooked got off. Rats. Oh well, that’s fishing…

The following day was wet and cold. Luke, Chris, Larry, and Gary didn’t seem to mind one bit. It’s amazing what can be done with the right attitude.

The following day was the first day of a three silver salmon limit. Another productive morning with Gary, Larry, Brian, and Luke.

I ended the week with a boat limit for Esko Bill, Ron, and Ailie. It’s always great to end on a positive note with people I like to be around.
For the week ahead I’m predicting rain. I’m not sure about the silvers, but I do like how the fishing has been going.
See you next week for a brand new fishing report.
