The high tide cycle from April 27th to April 30th was large enough to put the dock in for the season.
The morning tides were plenty high, but I wasn’t so sure about the evening tides. I decided to take a chance on a 22.5’ high tide Monday evening at 5:50pm.
As I was getting things ready to get the dock in, a moose was curious enough to see what all the commotion was about.
The moose was so curious it decided to swim across the creek to check things out.
After the moose show I waited and waited for the water to rise and unfortunately the tide wasn’t high enough to float the dock. As Maxwell Smart would say, “missed it by that much.”
On to Plan B.
Tuesday morning the 5:40am high tide was nearly 2 feet higher than the evening before. As you can see, plenty of water to float the dock in place.

I want to thank Ron, MJ, and Greg for lending a hand. An early morning that was cold and wet are not ideal conditions to do any kind of work. I appreciate you guys showing up.
Now that the dock is in place, my annual river salvage trip is not too far away.
