Jane and I were saddened with the news that long time guest and friend, Bob Kingsbury, passed away last week.

So many people say that Alaska is on their “bucket list”. It was for Bob too, but his bucket must have had a hole in it because he kept coming back, and back, and back….

September was the month that Bob and Judy would come to Alaska. I was always impressed with their “can-do” attitude no matter how miserable the weather would be. I’d often remind Bob that he left 85 degrees in Oklahoma to be in a cold, wet boat on the Kenai trying to catch silver salmon. He would tell me, “as long as my health holds out, this is where I want to be.”
