Long time readers know this well: I almost always post on Sundays. It’s a habit of mine. And, it’s also been a habit of my core readers. How do I know this? Well, if I miss a Sunday, Jane or I will often be contacted to see if I’m okay. It’s humbling to know I have such dedicated followers like that.
So why Sundays? The biggest reason is because of the fishing regulations on the Kenai River. In May, June, and July, I am not allowed to guide on Sundays and Mondays (Memorial Day is the exception) . In August, September, and October, I am not allowed to guide on Mondays (Labor Day is the exception). One of my many chores when I’m off the water is to write a weekly fishing recap. This summer habit carries into the winter as well.
So, here’s a little teaser for next week’s post. I’ll be writing about something I’ve never seen in the Kenai River before. Betcha can’t wait to find out what that is…
