It’s been quite a week.
Not so much for fishing, but for me personally.
It began with my birthday on Monday, and ends with Father’s Day. This week included lots of time with friends enjoying dinners and barbecues (Ken and Michelle, I will dedicate an entire blogpost to the two of you in the off-season).
I’m a very lucky guy.

Here’s the guy responsible for my birthday, Bert Holtan. I miss you, Dad.

And here’s the guy I’m responsible for on Father’s Day, McKinley Holtan. Mac is now thirty one. Where has the time gone?
Fishing Update/Forecast. I did get out on the lower river to fish this week but had no luck. It’s clear, the bulk of the early run of red salmon has passed us and are nearing their final destination at the Russian River. That’s a good thing considering I’ll be fishing there June 19th-21st.
Come back next week to read about my Russian River adventures.
