It’s always a sad day when the dock is taken out. It was especially hard this year because of the beautiful fall weather we’re having.

Unlike the problems we had putting the dock in this past July, a high, high tide made the work much easier.

Detach the dock from the gang plank, float the dock to the grass plateau, crank up the gang plank, and voila, the dock is stored until spring.
Did I mention how nice the weather has been?
The winter resting spot until the dock goes back in the creek 223 days from now!

I didn’t spend every day winterizing the cabins and boats this past week. I did get out on the river a couple of times to fish. Even though I didn’t catch a thing, it was enjoyable to take a break and just be out.
See you next week for the annual photos of the notes on the cabin whiteboards.
