All good things must come to an end. Fortunately, it wasn’t last week. The silver salmon fishing remains steady on the Kenai River.

Nick, Brittany, and Ken got the week started. A steady morning bite kept us just busy enough not to get distracted by the scenery. As always, I enjoyed my time in the boat with the three of you and look forward to the next time we do it all over again. Nick, by the way, your custom color lure will be out of the lineup until your return. It would be heartbreaking if it was lost to a snag, seal, or monster silver.
Jane and I were able to sneak out one day this week too. Again, Jane had the hot seat.
When it was all said and done, Jane caught her limit. At least I was able to contribute one to the family freezer.
I finished the week fishing with my old friend Gary and his high school buddy Dave. They had their limit before lunch. It was an exclamation point to a mighty fine week.
See you next Sunday with a final fishing report from a grand river that owes us nothing.
